Award of prizes

Two prizes have been awarded during the Congress and announced at the closing ceremony at the Eiffel Tower on 16 June 2023.

 

* Prize for the best business history book

(published between 1 January 2020 and 31 December 2022)

 awarded to Pierre-Yves DONZÉ for his book

Des nations, des firmes et des montres. Histoire globale de l'industrie horlogère de 1850 à nos jours (Neuchâtel, Livreo Alphil, 2020)

 

* Prize for the best thesis in business history

(defended between 1 October 2019 and 31 December 2022)

awarded to  Francesca SANNA for her PHD dissertation

Organiser la Méditerranée minière : gestion d’entreprise, contrôle des ressources et rationalisation du travail à la Société minière et métallurgique Peñarroya (1881-1950)

 directed by Mathieu Arnoux and Manuela Martini, Université Paris Cité

The prize is awarded for a PhD dissertation on the history of companies in France and in the French-speaking world.

The prize is endowed with a sum of €3,000 to support the publication of the thesis thanks to to the support of Saint-Gobain.
